starter problems

Hi, i'm getting some starter problems with my bike.
I explain - my bike is on neutral (N light is on) headlight checked,
When i press the ignition button, the N light flickers but bike does not start. Not even the rotor sound. I'm forced to bump start it...#annoying.

Now bike is on, headlights seem to get brighter when revving.
+ horn seems weak.

I'm abit noob concerning electrical stuffs..

Help please

Check the battery, what is the voltage? Then check all of the ground wires.

Even a "dead" battery will measure 12v when it's not under a load. To be sure, take the battery to any automotive place and have them load test it. They usually do it for free and it only take a couple minutes.

I literally had this same issue.
My original 05 battery is duff.
It shows good voltage, easily powers the headlamp nice and bright.
But wasn't able to spin it over after sitting for a month.
Did a run and bump, got it going.
What I have figured out so far is this.
If used daily, it'll start fine (as long as one gets it going on first start and it's a quick start).
If it sits even some days, the battery can't spin it over.
I did a voltage drop check last night during a start try, yikes, it bombed below 9 volts !
I now have my trickle charge harness hard wired to the battery to last the rest of this season.
Battery on trickle until I get around going for a ride.
Going to get a Shorai before next season.
Next is to figure out the biggest Shorai I can get into the battery box.
I'd appreciate hearing what specific Shorai models others have used, and what the class of fit into the battery box was like.
If it sits

bad battery, or bad connections at the battery. Check connections, if they are good replace the battery, Simple as that.

This is what I got Mcromo, been working great since July of 2011. It's what's recommended for the 919 from Shorai but I don't see why you can't use a bigger one with more juice. You use the packing foam it comes with to hold the battery in place.

Next to a wallet card, the thing is tiny!!! ....

IIRC, the recommended size fit just fine with minimal foam needed. I don't think you'll get a bigger one in there...
