Lost Key...

Friend of mine lost the key to her '92 Nighthawk. Any thoughts???
Any chance of finding a code or serial number to recut a new key?

I thought there was a number somewhere on the ignition that would do it. I remember a few bikes having that in the past atleast. Wasn't easy to get to though.

That wasn't much help. You could try going to a dealership and giving them the VIN number. Maybe they have something on record at the factory?

She'll probably have to order a new ignition and key unless she wants to hot wire it.

She should be able to take her vehicle registration and picture ID to the dealer and they may be able to cut a new one based on her vehicle identification number (if it is on the registration).

I would call first.
