Long Way From Home

I spent last week in the Michigan U.P. in a cabin without electricity. No TV,no cell phone service just hanging out and doing a little trail riding. When I went to the town of Paradise I saw this bike outside of the general store. Now this is a hard core biker. Check out the plate , we are up at Lake Superior and that's a 250 Honda.

Impressed
Rich

That's what it's all about. Doesn't matter what you ride, just ride it!

Some of the best times I had riding with ex-wife was me on a CB450 and her Cb200. We would take a week off and carried stuff sacks bungied on rear of seat, and the Debit card.Ruins all good things.

I'd have done it on my Rebel in a heartbeat. When I had mine I was the one trying to convince my step dad and his friends to make the ride rather than trailer to the Honda Hoot. The bikes involved were my Rebel, a VTX1300, an Intruder Volusia, and a Shadow Spirit 1100. In retrospect, its probably better that we trailered rather than rode given the interstate manners of the Rebel, but I sure as hell wanted to make the ride.

You know the guy is riding the Gold Wing and he's making the wife ride the Rebel!

It's better to have loved and lost than live with the psycho for life!

Kudos to that rider, I wouldn't even head out of state on my 919, had to go get a big ol' touring bike so that I could do some traveling. Man, I'm a wienie!

It was rather calming, in the morning I'd stand on the pier toss out a line for an hour or two.Read a couple of books, you had to be careful what time you walked on the beach because at certain times there were enough black flies to carry you off. All in all it was a good time.

Rich

I do that several times a year. I trailer to a Cabin on the lake in the rolling hills of East Ms. It's only 150 miles so why trailer?? Because, I always have 3 casting rods in the back seat of my Ranger. I take my food supply, I lay around and read, and I do a little mud hole-ing with my 4wd.
