Beat a 919 tonight, three times!

Yup... I beat the fastest bike in the world.
I was on my way home from the bar with my roommate when I spotted a 919 ahead. I pointed it out and my Rommate said 'a what?' - I replied 'this bike can beat an F1 car, I heard it was so badass, NASA is doing research to make rockets as fast'

He did not believe me. I was astounded by his disbelief. SO I caught him on the straight. As we neared the light, I work over into the lane next to him. He looked over an nodded. Oh yeah....... its on. He revved a couple times as the light turned green. I had no issues with traction and was off. Easily took him.

I have no doubt he hit 7K...... but I know the bike has more.

A mile later, we are staged side by side again. Light turns green.... he is next to me until I start moving. I kill him. I do here him rev up higher tho.... he started to catch up....but then fell back.

SO now..... He looks over at the last light.... He nods... I nod back... 1/4 mile up is a significant turn. This will be interesting....

I kill him a third time on the start. He closes on the straight, I pull significanlty in the corner, he then makes up ground on the straight. Up comes a significantly sharper turn.... I take it at 60..... my lead triples...

two lights later he catches back up and waves.... we are done.

I am glad my stock civic is sooooo bad ass.

they were going to call it the 9-1-1 but that would have caused too much of a stir since everyone would have been talking about it.... with all that talk there would have been someone so confused they thought they were suppose to call 911. it was just easier to pick a different name!

Haha! And the one I just sold has more miles than most 'wannabe seasoned riders' will ever have!

By the way, my free to me Trophy rides nice. As does my free to me SV650.

Is this like the "I beat a Harley" thread? There is no way on your Gods green earth or mine, that a stock Civic beat anything, let alone a 919. You sure it wasn't a Vespa with the 919 sticker on it, with a flat tire, one cylinder out, going backwards... did the guy start in 3rd? More info is clearly needed to come to any rational conclusion...

No... Saw a kid do the "outrigger" thing a couple of years back with a ZX12... that kid couldn't ride either! Me and a buddy followed him 2 or 3 miles to make sure he was OK... "this is my first bike! They gave me the jacket for free!" Just sucks when you have the same bike to hear that story!

Haha! If backspash was that important..............

Countertops bitch! lol. I bought countertops, backsplash and had a bit left over. Geeezzzzzz as if granite was cheap! And dad came to th rescue with a 2000 Trophy and a fraternity brother decided to drop off his 2002 SV650.

So I traded in my 2006 with Insurance payment to get new countertops, a 2000 Trophy and a 2002 SV650. Not tooo bad of a trade.

I would believe this story if maybe you said you did it on an SV650, but not a stock civic. We are going to call this a story like the Harley vs a bicycle.

Believe it or not....... It is possible some people think they are bad ass in a straight line once the bike is moving and stable, but up until that point be completely out of confidence. And yes.... believe it or not, some of these guys actually own 919s.

F4i talks a lot about a sport he absolutely loves.
F4i has more miles on bikes in the past 9 years than cars.
F4i has helped more people out in the motorcycling community than I can recall.
F4i has done more track days than he cares to add up the money for.
F4i is setting up an east coast shin dig for this website.
F4i has been a moderator since day one
F4i has been running the BOTM/Thunderdome

F4i found it hilarious his Civic beat a guy on a 919 and posted here....... but somehow, that has undone all the rest of it?

What have you done?

That seems to be all I do is look at my bike. I had some changes in my life right after I bought it that dried up most of my free alone time to ride. I think I`ll go to a different garage this year for my state inspection just to avoid the accusatory looks from the mechanic when he checks the odometer.

Anybody don`t wanna get killed better clear on out the back.

LOL!
I actually have a buddy that bought Simpson's old 919 ask me to come over and ride his bike just to blow all the crap out of it. I do not think he even put 100 miles on it this past 6 months. It happens.

Thank goodness no one will be around with a camera..... I will be on a 919.... Again.

Their fast enough, do you remember the days of 4 cylinders that you had to build terminal velocity going down a hill just so you could make it up the other side without a line of traffic behind you? Now that was slow.

Anybody don`t wanna get killed better clear on out the back.

What an utter waste of literary work. Why do you let the bikerless wonder push you guys into an arguement? He moderates a site filled with 75% of 919's and yet he continues to trash talk them?

He's covering for his lack of bike (and manhood) and rationalizing the fact that he drives an f'in Civic while trying to bait you into an arguement! Let him go! Just let him go!

He has Daddy giving him a bike to ride and his ex-boyfriend still has him store his bike for him rent free... Oh wait... let me list a bunch of BS about how cool I think I am too.. maybe it will convince you all. Ugh... SAD!

Now when you look at the facts differently, not much to argue is there?
