Your boy passed road racing school

I did the road racing school with MARRC last Friday. It was a great experience. I learned a lot - not just about the flags and rules, but the physics of what a bike is doing on the track.

I plan on holding off on getting my license this year, and just get it in January for the 2012 season.

My buddy took some video clips and slap them together from the first corner. This is from the 'mock race' that is done at the end of the school. They have us start from the grid (6 students, I started in p5), then once we reach T1, they send out all the CR's to come test us in corners, passing us, putting us in difference situations. I'm on the blue R6 (my name is Ick/Ickey):

Congrats!

I'd love to do this, but I need to start with a track day first.

Thanks, guys. Our main classroom instructor told us that he went through 2 divorces since he started racing back in the 80's. lol.

On another note, I'll be racing here and there next year, but am parting with the 919. We've got a kid on the way in February, I can't imagine doing long rides with it.

Peoples1234, Roger Lyle is doing 2 track days this weekend at Summit, fyi. I may go.

Thanks for pointing me in his direction. I was gonna do a track day with NESBA, but the only weekend they have left this year at Summit was the weekend of my friends wedding.

I am going to shoot for one later in September.

Here's another view - I'm on the blue R6, of course:
