WT Blog Section

I was wondering the other day how many members were aware of the blog section of this site. Based on the infrequent posting and low traffic and comments, I didn't think that many were. I know that I didn't until I started one. Last night I read this in the Fall Ride thread:

That's one good reason to use the section. I like it because it is like a little staked out piece of turf where I can post openly and easily point friends and family to. It is a great, single place reference for later review.

Those advantages make it ideal for posting ride and trip reports. That's what I'm using it for, for now.

I am new to blogs, but it appears that people can comment much like a forum reply. There is also a "rate" feature, but I have not looked into it.

One thing to consider when posting to your blog is that you are limited 10 images per post. Images include pics, smilies, etc. I had to split a ride report up into two parts due to this, so plan ahead.

Just an FYI because there are likely several of you that will use the blog section once they try it out.

Michael

Didn't know it existed either... I bet more people would pay attention if the blogs had their own category and actually showed up on the main page. Might be a good addition to the site?

I was...'The' active blogger for a while. Seems the following died off during the regular riding season. Maybe I'll start up again, but not until I start getting seat time. New gig is 100% travel, which means 0% seat time

if you love your motorcycle, set it free.. if it comes back and hits you.. you highsided
