Not very gruesome at all. Everything was done correctly as I stated in another thread. Except.....guy who threw the jack up first thing. He should NEVER have done that. I now know for sure he was brought up in front of a board and has been suspended baring a full investigation. My cousin Christopher is on FDNY. Chris won't state if the FF in question was a probby or not, but my guess is yes. Every thing else was exactly the way you train for it. Chocks for shoring and stabilizing the car, and air bags for lifting it. If not for that jack it was beautifully done.

That being said, was that the cause of his death? Who knows? Even a corner can't tell you. That young mans body is going to show signs of blunt force trauma all over it and there is no way to distinguish from the initial crash or the vehicle coming off the jack. Either way RIP. I hope the lady goes to jail for vehicular manslaughter.

If that's blood leading up to underneath that wheel (almost looks like his hand under the wheel?) then he could have easily bled out from road rash or being crushed into the pavement while being dragged along.

Poor guy. I really feel for him and his family. I hope he didn't suffer much while under there.

And that lady's two seconds of inattentiveness will cost her her sanity. I wouldn't be able to live with myself, but that's what happens when we use 3,000 pound objects to move ourselves around with every day. We make mistakes.

After looking at the video again, you can clearly see that the height of the left side of the car, even after falling, is still higher than it was before.

I don't think it hit him, I think if anything, he was bleeding out and suffocating under the car.

Not to open another can of worms, but I wonder what would have happened if those people would have done what they said they were going to do. I heard comments like "Let's get him out from under there" and "Get a jack, let's get him out". We'll never know.

I think your right g00g3l. Personally from the video his ribs have been crush and lungs punctured. he couldn't breath and more than likely suffocated to death. Internal bleeding to top it off. I think this young man was going to die no matter what happened that day.

What really erks me is the heartlessness or fear of litigation of all those bystanders before first responders arrive. The rider still had his shades on. His eyes might have been open as he's laying there maybe breathing his last breaths.

If I'm him, I want someone with me and trying to comfort me, even a total stranger. The more I think about it the more it pisses me off. I hope if it ever goes down like that for me that I have at least one person with a heart come to me. F'ing cowards.
