That's only the starting bid. Could go higher.

Only two days left, no bids and doesn't look like there's a reserve either.

Shoot, that's within a few hours drive for me. Not looking for a bike, but put in my watch list just to see where it goes.

I've done that before in the same circumstances. Either lay off the brews during the final minutes of the auction or make space in the garage and ice up a twelve pack and go for it.
PDXCat likes this.

if you ride 9er and have some extra cash, i would jump on it. Put the 9er for sale later and never look back. Tuono doesn't look all that appealing at first, until you throw your leg over it and get an ear full of that twin sound. Hard to describe..... If you will end up getting it, I have an extra Ohlins shock for sale for cheap . I don't know what is it about the T but I just don't want to mod it (unlike my heavily modded 9er). All I got is Ohlins shock and exhaust. Turn signals-stock, levers -stock. Oh, I did get Ohlins steering stabilizer too but stock was just fine. I guess it was a good deal and I couldn't pass up I just want to ride that thing. Although this winter boredom did get me thinking about Ohlins fork cartridges. I do admit that I admire her looks every time I go by her in the garage.

The Tuono does grow on you, for sure. I also had the 919 in the garage after picking up the T.

I rode it twice before selling it. Just could not justify keeping it anymore.

Even my little girl likes it!

I found 2010 snow white T locally with 5k miles for $5500 asking. Not sure if I should get it and sell my 07.5 with twice as much miles already or just ride it until I get V4 itch. Attachment 92618 Attachment 92626

I would jump all OVER that chance!!!

You could almost flip it instantly for a profit, it's worth close to $7k.

That eBay one looks like a great deal if someone gets it for $6K. Not much can be screwed up in 2500 miles. Looks pristine in the pics.

I can't say I'm not tempted. Assuming it didn't get bid up too much, I could cover a good chunk of the cost by selling the 9'er and the DR.

I'm seriously considering it. Swapping ohlins and LeoVince pipes to it and selling mine. But then again, I really like that new V4 1100 Tuono a coupe of years from now

PS. It's '09 not '10 as I thought

I don't think it will go up much (if at all). Bad time selling bikes right now: winter and right after holidays. Looks like totally stock pristine bike and his description says there are no flows so if you find any, could easily back out from the deal. DO IT!!!

I wasn't looking for a bike; was happy with the 9'er. This seemed too good a deal to pass up, though. Planning to pick it up this coming weekend. I will have a couple of bikes for sale in the spring.

I may talk to you about that shock after I get some seat time!

Congrats man!!! Another conversion!

You'll have to give everyone the raw details of the ride home

Get your last few rides in on the 919 now, you probably won't look back. Even as much as you love it, you just won't understand until you throw a leg over that T

x10. Congrats.
Consider that the shock is yours if you wish. It's brand new, never installed Ohlins unit I pick up as a maintenance spare for my Ohlins. However my rule is that if I never use something in 2 years, I most likely will never need it therefore I'm considering selling it.

also start looking for new exhaust to unleash that beautiful sound

Hopefully the weather will cooperate. Today would have been perfect, but the seller was out of town on business.

He's throwing in his gear too. Some may end up for sale here.

If I can sell of some of the parts I have laying around here, both the shock and the exhaust are a definite possibility!

I'm hoping to ride it home, but getting the trailer ready just in case the weather sucks.

Congrats, dog. You did good. That sumbitch is even uglier than my Super Duke, which is no small feat. Lol. But man, they ride nice!

Is the SV going to be for sale?

Probably not the SV; that bike fits my wife pretty well. Most likely, the 9'er and DR (which has been for sale here before!) are going on the block. Not right away, though.

10 minutes after loading her up

Safe arrival at her new home

Started out at 0530 this morning to go check her over. Not precisely showroom condition, but very good shape overall. The graphics have been removed from the tail section, and there is a slight fracture in the right side headlight (can live with for now), but otherwise looks really good. I may check into getting the graphics re-applied.

Once I took her for a spin I was sold...holy crap! Gets up to speed quickly and effortlessly. Every time I checked the speedo I was going much faster than I realized. The bike feels small and light, but was very comfortable to ride. Feels like a real hoon machine

Between now and spring she will be getting a good going-over (detailing, new fluids, etc). Looking forward to getting familiar with this thing.

Also got all of the guy's riding gear. Will probably post some of it up here this week.

Cool, thanks man. I'm not sure how to describe the damage; it's almost like it's de-laminating.

It doesn't appear to go all the way through the lens, so not terribly worried about it just yet.

That is the left side, not the right as you said in the other post. Part # I posted was for the right side. Looks like some sort of impact damage maybe rear cowl with missing stickers has something to do with it. What did PO say?

Right side, as you are sitting on the bike. If that's what you are saying too, it might be the angle of the picture that skews the perspective.

I unfortunately didn't notice it when I was looking at the bike, so didn't ask the question; I didn't see it until the sunlight caught it. I assume it is from an impact, but it looks mostly to be on the surface.

The tail section decals had peeled a little on him, so he pulled them off, and decided he liked it better without. The outline of where they were is still there, and I don't see any damage.

FYI, the part # listed above is the non DOT part (Euro) part.

RH Headlight
AP8127371
LH Headlight
Ap8127372

The one's on AF1 that are the DOT versions are MUCH more expensive:

AP8127283*LH &
AP8127152*RH

I took a chance when I replaced mine and everyone was telling me "they'll point up and left".

There is not a single thing I could find different between the headlights (I had the old one's to compare to). Lighting pattern was exactly the same.

I see now, that's the bolt for the front screen so it is the right side.
Maybe someone dropped something in the garage on it etc? Doesn't really matter, that's all minor.

Go enjoy it and post more pics with your impressions.

I agree; seems to be just cosmetic. As the weather allows I will get as much riding as I can and post my thoughts. So far I have no regrets nor buyers remorse. Thanks for posting this up!
