1) If it's a straight intersection, only one lane, & he is to either side of center. I'll pull up next to him,Nod & leave.(granted, if I get the open side)
2) If he is in the middle of the lane, I'll wait behind him to one side.
3) If it is in a left turn lane. I'll wait behind him.
4) If I split lanes to the front of the pack & a rider is in the lane(centered), in front of the cars,I'll stay there between the cars. I'll then leave to the lane next to his.(if there is one) if not, then drop in behind him & wait for a place to pass.
5)If it's open multiple lanes, I'll just use the lane next to him.
I guess I just have to remember that there are still some paranoid riders still out there.
But, if someone pulling up near them freaks them out.
They probably won't last long on a bike anyway.
Here in California. Riders wave, they are friendly, & we all look out for each other.
I have even had other riders make room for me in there lane when I pull up.
As I have done for them.
We are all out to accomplish the same thing. "Live to ride another day"
Not to get all pissy at each other.
