Ride to Work tomorrow.

Monday is "Ride to Work" Day. It was started to demonstrate the economic and environmental benefits of riding, but also reminds other road users that there's a more fun way to get to work. So everyone make sure they ride their bike Monday!

So.... tomorrow will be like any other day?

Every day I ride vs. drive is ~$10 in fuel I don't spend.

Exactly what I was thinking.

I didn't ride to work twice last week because we've been having some wicked thunderstorms in the afternoon, hopefully this week the weather will help a brotha out. I'll ride in the rain, but I try to avoid batshit crazy thunderstorms from hell.

Yup, the only time I got in the truck last week was to take Angus to dog school on Wednesday

Same here. Finally getting some rain but at the expense of my riding.

Got 4 days in last week, but not sure mother nature is going to cooperate with this. Oh, what the hell! The thing needs washed anyway!

Got the day off tomorrow, but I usually ride everyday to work. 919 costs me $0.103/mi vs $0.267/mi in the Jeep not to mention the fun factor!

Only time I don't ride to work is if it's raining hard or if my bike is in pieces like it's been for the last several months. Got it back together just in time for this ride to work day.

Couldn't do it... got hit with a gnarly thunderstorm this morning and it wasn't gonna clear out in time for the commute.

We are pretty much in the same boat. It was fine coming into work today, but they are talking thunderstorms this afternoon. I always have one of those oh shit moments when I pull into the parking lot at work and I'm the only one on a bike.

Started to rain at 1130 last night and hasn't stopped yet. Was still thinking about riding but something told me not to. Good thing because I hydroplaned in my truck a few times. Need new tires but it will wait till the winter. Not only the rain but the further south I went the windier it got.

It was drizzling a little this morning but I said what the heck, I bought rain gear for a reason. Around here if you decide not to ride every time they call for rain you'll never get to ride. I just stopped looking at the weather and bought some good rain gear.

I did the same this morning. I don't mind the rain with my gear, but man was it humid! I had to keep flipping my visor up so I could wipe the inside down so I could see.

Mesh gear, FTW!

Rode today also, it was 59 and sunny when I rolled the 9er out of the garage, 75 now, too bad work messes up premium riding weather.

got a hard rain storm with pea-marble sized hail at about 2am... was still dark with storm clouds when I left for work this morning in my truck.

Of course NOW it looks pretty good out there, but we're in a Tornado watch until late tonight.

55 degrees when I left for work this morning - great ride. Mid-70s this afternoon and upper 70s tomorrow. I've been riding to work almost every day lately.

Gambled and won today. Everyone was laughing and giving me shit at lunch about riding my bike in today... but I got the last laugh since it was mid 70s and sunny for the ride home.

We occasionally get ride to work Fridays. But I ride everyday. if I can get to work between rain I will ride even if I will get wet on the way home. No rain gear, nowhere to store it at work.

So while you've been baking in the summer heat, down in the land that time forgot my coldest day this week was -1c (30f). Of course, with windchill is was, I don't know, -13c 9f. Guys at work think I'm nuts
