PureGas.Com

Hey all, for a neat lil 10% boost in mileage and power, go to this site and click on your state, then on your city, it will tell you where pure gas is sold, complete with address. You can tell for sure because Fed Law says there has to be a sticker on the pump showing ethonal content.
No sticker= pure gas. Dickey

How can it be that Houston isn't even on the list? There's probably as much or more gas sold in Houston as anywhere else.

The closest one to me on the list is a 45 minute drive. There used to be a guy about 2 miles down the road that didn't have ethanol mixed and I got insane mileage on the bike and noticeably more in the cages. He went out of business, too bad.

Government mandates.
Areas that do not attain certain "clean air" standards must use fuel with additives, and ethanol is the cheapest gov't approved additive.

RE:T.T.

You're so right. Take Baton Rouge,La and Port Allen,La which are twin sisters on the Miss River. BR has the huge ESSO plant that makes all kinds of petro products, and Enjay which makes plastic. Since BR has 12-15 times the population as Port Allen, it's cleaner then PA which shows to be very dirty, as the population is figured on the scale! (Govt) Go figure!

Wow, I'm assuming this is all user generated content. What I know about texas emissions I shouldn't have to drive ~2hrs to get ethanol free gas. Surely there are plenty of small towns around that have ethanol free gas.... I guess I'll make it a mission to find one. Unbeknownst to me when I had the tank for my 'spare' bike at the rad shop to be derusted and recoated they used a product that contains MEK. Ethanol will dissolve it. I'm sure whatever the crap is that they used, it can't be good for an engine. I can get av-gas, but I'm pretty sure the 9er would run like crap on 110 octane. Boo ethanol!

if you love your motorcycle, set it free.. if it comes back and hits you.. you highsided
