Pretty impressive

MotoGP: Michael Schumacher stuns in Ducati 800 MotoGP ride
By Matthew Birt

05 November 2007 16:50

Ferrari Formula One legend Michael Schumacher has shown he is no slouch on two wheels today in Valencia with an incredible performance on Casey Stoner’s world championship-winning factory Ducati.

Seven-times Formula One world champion Schumacher has clocked an incredible best lap of 1.37.89 in a special guest ride on Stoner’s GP7.

That time is just a fraction over five seconds outside of Dani Pedrosa’s new lap record, which the Spaniard set in winning the Valencia GP yesterday. Repsol Honda rider Pedrosa’s new lap record in the 30-lap race was a 1.32.748.

Heres the entire atricle

Side note.... Spies ran a 34.8 on the Suzuki. First time on the GP bike, first time at Valencia.

Maybe that's his next challenge. Even though he said he's just doing it for fun. He's got the competitive spirit in his heart and I don't see him joining the IRL or the other guys that came over to NASCAR.

Four wheels move the body ... two wheels move the soul.

As a guy that races bike (albeit at a much lower level)....I can tell you that's not just impressive, it's freakin incrediably amazing for any non-pro racer to get within 15 secons of a GP lap record.
Obviously the dude is not new to bikes in the least, and I'd suspect he done a lot of track riding on very fast bikes.

Yeah, I too would like to know his level of expertise/experience on 2 wheels.......

Regardless, It's amazing. I guess all things being realtively equal a GP bike might have seemed kinda "slow" to Schumi, the fastest man that ever lived.
