Pre 919 trip woes

Getting my bike ready for a trip to Illinois. It is showing up as 909 miles, about 15 hrs one way. Got a new Givi A755, but come to find out Givi discontinued the A256A 919 fitment kit. I found my old brackets, so I hope I can find the rest of the hardware for it, or the new screen comes with it. Also picked up a chatterbox x1 bt unit. Chatterbox USA and most retailers are out of stock of the bike dc power supply. After 3 days of searching and calling, I found one retailer that had one in stock. Well they have zero now. I really am looking forward to my trip. Rain or shine as long as it stays above 50 degrees, I'm on the road.

Yeah, I kinda forgot to state those. Still happy over the success of my power supply find. Aside from not having the mounting hardware for the windscreen, (I started a thread about this part) I'm hoping to swap out my triple trees keeping any problems or hiccups to a minimum.

Done and done. I still have my cramp buster from my San Diego to Idaho ride, and my seat was modded by Spencers Motorcycle Seat Mods for theat ride as well. $90 for the full mod and shipping was all up to me.

Probably should've posted up earlier. I made it safely. The brackets for my Givi windscreen arrived in the mail 2 hours after I left (8 hours after I intended to leave, thanks VFA-103). The flyscreen sucks for long distance.

Anywho, got caught up in rain around Dayton, OH. I made it to the west side of Eaton (Easton), OH and it started to hail. I turned around and went to the nearest motel. Got to Illinois Tuesday. My dad found out his truck rides a lot nicer with 500 lbs in the back.

My 9r is legal again with new Illinois reg and title. Getting ready to make lke a fetus and head out tomorrow inbetween the rain storms. Think a cop will understand if I tell him I'm keeping up with the break in the clouds?

Thanks guys. Made it back just fine. Actually did the whole 900 miles back in one day. I don't know what it is, but I can go for a lot longer on the bike than in a car. Although, I'm going to be investing in a throttle lock.
