Paint or powder coat down pipe?

Since my rear shock is out I thought about pulling my downpipe and sanding and painting with high temp paint or has anybody powder coated these before?

Powder coating will not work as its melting point is 100s of degrees F below which the header can run at.
Some have done heat paint.
It seems to me that there has been more ceramic coating done than heat paint, the former being more durable.

If you have a little time and are willing to send it off and spend some more $, another option is Jet-Hot.
