Bummer, but very picturesque, for a Floridian

We do not have very good roads in Florida, ie twisties and elevation changes, but we can ride all year, if you can stand the 90+ in the spring, summer and fall, and the year round rain and how can I forget all of the old people, I mean really old not like me, ha ha, and tourists, who seem to leave all of there driving skills at home.

Just to rub it in some more I am still wearing a polo shirt and a perforated jacket and riding jeans still, even at night. But we have had some chilly nights and mornings. mid 50s.

I can sympathize with you. We got freezing rain & ice yesterday. I put my bike away last week.

We've got snow down here on Long Island too, if it's any consolation.

We had about 4" last night. That's the best part of our weather now. It just hit about 32 degrees, feezing rain is falling, and then it's back to snow tonight. That fresh layer of ice on the roads under snow that falls tonight could make for a challenging commute in the morning.

This is not helping the stereotype of the 'Great White North'. This morning on the Sunshine Coast - there is a driveway in there somewhere.

Put my RC to bed a couple of days ago. Usually I can ride to around the 2nd week in Dec. This year....Dec. 2nd, it hit a 13 degree high at my house, with a couple of inches of snow on the ground. So much for global warming.

It was kinda cold/cloudy here, so the freeway windchill wasn't inviting. Instead bundled up and did a 30 ml bike ride over a couple hills from the front door. It hurt good! I'm getting momentum for the NY resolution.

Dec 3 and still riding in Colorado Springs. People told me it was like this here, but I didn't believe them. A little cold, but the roads were nice and clear. Looks like I won't have to put the bike up...

Got lucky on this one, 4 or 5 inches of snow then was supposed to turn into a major ice storm. Luckily nothing materialized which is fine by me.

Wooo...Pinneaple Express just hit the Coast last night. Sounded like a freight train bringing 70 kph wind and 5-10cm of rain.

We went from -2C to +13C in less than a day. Snow almost gone but now its huge puddles everywhere.

Winter is here in earnest now. 10-20" of the white stuff predicted for tonight with blowing and gusting winds up to 45 MPH. The morning commute will be ugly. Laptop is home with me. Working from home is on the radar.

Did all my errands on the bike today.
I didn't really realize that we had 30-40 mph winds until I hit a long open stretch!
Supposed to be in the 30's tomorrow.

Full blown monsoon here. I hope to catch a break tomorrow to bring my bike into the shop for some warranty work.

I can't believe they book me for a December appointment - if its not snow and black ice then its pi$$ing rain. We need another Ducati dealer in Vancouver.
