MY NEW PROJECT...........................

I bought a Suzuki GN400 cheap that I'm thinking about turning into a Cafe Racer.

Where do I start? Where do I get parts? Mainly tank and seat.

Let me know what you think?

I'm open to ideas...............................

A good site to check out for ideas is www.dotheton.com. Got lots of ideas for my XS750 build from there, maybe one day I'll get it started. lol.

Start by getting a set of straight bars & dropping the forks in the triples.

Then.....I'd figure out a way to get rid of the chrome tail and banana seat.

Here's a build thread on a GN400. Might give you some ideas what to expect.

Was that the one down in DSM for like $400? I was thinking about calling on that one. My friend Andy had a GN400. Pretty fun for a Suzuki thumper. Good work!

This is a different one. I think two have popped up here lately. Weird because I don't ever remember seeing one on the road EVER.

It maybe more than I want to do. Everything need attention. Brakes, suspension, carb, chain, sprockets, tires etc.

I just remember a bike that I got for free and fixed up..........................$1500 later it was worth $800.

Sometimes free is too much.
