Maybe buy a nice RC51

I've been toying with the idea of buying a nice old RC 51. I ought to be able to find a reasonably low mileage, not too modded example for around $6K. I've bought 4 old Hondas in the last several years. But have paid only $4100 on average.

I figure I can put some miles on it, own it for a couple of years, and not lose much, if any money on it. Or maybe keep it, and see if it goes up in value.

The later ones were supposedly better bikes than the early ones. So I'm setting my sights on one of those.

Just an idea. October and November are the months to be buying used motorcycles.

Input appreciated.

6k for an SP2 with 10k miles. Is that good? Sounds good.

Nothing wrong with the early ones. I prefer the SP1 brakes, swingarm and smaller throttle bodies over the SP2 myself.
