note that you will loose power with a KnN... pretty sure LDH has dyno figures on KnN filters vs oem.

I have long since given up any notion of talking people out of buying K&N filters. Over the years I have presented thousands of forum members all over the internet with evidence that they don't work and nobody listens to reason, experience or even dyno charts so I gave up.

Suffice it to say I just smile now because I know beyond any shadow of doubt in my mind that anyone with a K&N filter has a bike that DOES NOT run as well as mine does

I wish I would have heard this advice BEFORE I dropped $70 on 2 of them. I always thought K&N allowed better air flow? What is the reason OEM is better?

My bike has run better ever since I put in a k&n.... it was the best 20 bucks I spent.

I need to find me a coupon code for a stock filter - I'm hitting 5K miles, and have ridden in some pretty dusty Idaho winds. It's probably time for a new one.

Stock 919 air filter is only $28 in the USA. In New Zealand they are NZ$90!!!!

I ordered mine from the USA with a bunch of oil filters and landed the lot for less than a single air filter locally. Bloody sad really as I'd like to support the local dealer but prefer not to have to bring my own jar of Vaseline ......
