help me find a gps mount

hey everyone, i'm prepping for my road trip within the next week and a half or so and i was recently given a Garmin StreetPilot c330 3.5-Inch Portable GPS Navigator (Amazon.com: Garmin StreetPilot c330 3.5-Inch Portable GPS Navigator: Electronics) that i'd like to put to use for the trip.

yeah i realize it's a big fucker but there's not much i can do about it. free is free right? so now i need to figure out a way to mount this so it doesnt get wet in a drizzle which hopefully will give me enough time to pull over and unmount it before continuing the trip in the rain. i was hoping to mount it between my gauges and the fabbri screen but not sure how to manage this.

may have to settle for a simple bar mount. would like to mount it onto the center of the handle bars if possible and i'm not having much luck coming up with any kind of search for a bar mount of sorts for less than $40.... any suggestions?

Does have a traditional ball Garmin mount? I can't really tell from the amazon photos.

Ram mounts sound like the way to go since they secure the GPS a little better... but they are also spendy...

Or you could pick up something like this...
Garmin Nuvi Bike Handlebar Mount w/ 1200 1300 Bracket | eBay

Neither will really protect it from the rain, but maybe you can pick up a plastic case to put the GPS in.

From what I have found, RAM makes the widest variety of mounts, albeit some are quite large. I have been using one for my zumo that works really well. It is similar to the one they make for your GPS that is pretty close to your price point.

RAM Handlebar Rail Mount with Zinc Coated U-Bolt Base for the Garmin StreetPilot c310, c320, c330 & c340

I mount mine with the ball mount that replaces one of the bolts in the bar clamp.

Before I got the RAM mount, I used to just slide the GPS in the map pocket of my tank bag. With the dimensions of your GPS, that might not work.

I've been happy with mine... the nice thing is, if you get another GPS, you can just replace the top piece. You can also get clips for cameras, phones, etc that will clip to the same mount.

How about a ziplock freezer bag and a cable tie (temporarily) in case you can't find anything else.

...... I use a RAM GPS mount on mine.... and I wouldn't even bother messing with another brand.

A super thick freezer ziplock with a couple zip-ties around the base works perfectly in the rain ---- you can even still use the touch screen.

---- you would need to get into the $500 Garmin price range to get a waterproof motorcycle specific GPS..... I said, screw it....I'm not paying $300 more to make it water proof.

With RAM .... all the GPS's use the same ball mounts & you simply pick up the cradle that matches your model.

since its free, and a somewhat old gps, just super glue the zip lock plastic right to it. lol. who cares how it looks right? just that it performs. I wonder if you could find someone to shrink wrap it with clear wrap. Just cut out the charging port
