did the 919 muffler mod

My 2007 919 was so perfect [ 2,400 miles ] i debated back and forth over doing it. But the stock sound was bugging me big time. I like the looks of the stock system a lot. I finally figured i would never want to go back to stock.
I thought it would take a few hours . start to finish was 45 minutes. Another 15 to clean metal ,and put a coat of High heat primer on the cut area.
One part not covered in posted how to is the welds on the tube you want to remove is on the back side of the baffle. No amount of twisting and wiggling will let you pull the pipe past the baffle without taking a large slot screw driver and wedging it with a hammer between the pipe and the baffle . I figured that out in about 5 minuted. I love the sound now. sounds like what a naked sport bike should sound like. Very happy.
