A couple shots from the Killboy.com & US 129 websites....

No one I know.....but, thought it was cool to see all the sliders working well. Rider got up, picked up the bike....and kept riding. Didn't even cross the double yellow in the process.....

One of my favorites of my KTM 625 SMC supermoto & a 919 getting ready to pass me.....(This was before I had a 919)

LOL ---- I've posted that pic before..... funny enough, the guy is on this forum.

The supermoto's are a TON of fun....only problem, I'd get back home from Tennessee to almost straight roads in Michigan and be bored silly. After that trip ---- thought to myself..... o.k., if the 919 can do what I just saw it do, and ALSO sport-tour (Thanks to Givi and SW-Motech for all their cool add-on stuff).... I'm in.

Forget the SM's look at that GSXR! I bet that's a load of fun on the Dragon.

He has his hands on the hood of the 'Law Enforcement Officer's' car.....its one of those sooped up LED light bar jobs. Let me tell you --- the local Officers practice driving the GAP everyday.... and THEY CAN HAUL.

The Posted Speed limit is now 35......with usually 1 to 2 cars sitting somewhere every day.

They're all getting pretty tricky --- they'll park down the street...... hit you with radar from a hill, and have another officer in the middle of the street around the next corner. There aren't any turn-off's, drive-ways, or anywhere to go for 13 miles.

There are very few instances where you can have a 'clean' run of the entire 13-mile stretch these days.

there was a group of us down there May 1st/2nd 2010 (seems like a whole year ago already) which was shortly after they opened it up after the rock slide that had closed it for several weeks.

At that time, it was perfect for getting good runs as long as you knew where the cop was. 129 was closed just south of the damn at the north end, so you could run from the resort at the south end up to the road closure & back.

Doubt it'll ever be that good again... unless there's another rock slide to close the road again.

Abba Zaba, you my only friend.

Okay, who has been there recently?
When I was there this spring, there was a VOLVO wedged in between two trees on the outside of a left-hand curve,
approximately 1 mile north of Thunder Mountain gas station on Hwy 143.
I stopped to shoot these:

I wanna know if it's still there or if they removed it.

Forgot to thank you for posting this.
One day I want to ride this beast, but it's a long long way from home for me.
Some of it reminds me of riding to Loudon in the 70s from the general Toronto area, across at Niagara then over and down from there.
Some incredible roads and scenes along the way.
I just love the look of Upper NY state, Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire. I've seen a bit of the Carolinas on 4 wheels, and want to see more - but on 2.

You can see the letters (probably watermarks) on the sumo rider's leg, shin area.

It was from SupermotoJunkie, but when it was posted there was an entire line of 10 shots showing the pass......I see though what you're talking about..... it does look faked with the watermark. I'll keep looking for the series.

Either way ---- pic has NOTHING to do with Deal's Gap.

Yeah how stupid is that? These guys are probably CEO's, presidents and business owners out on their bi-annual ride and board meeting. Real bikers would have made that turn.

Can't even count the number of cruisers I've seen go off the road down there..... They usually scrape parts, freak out, off the road they go.

Also can't even count the number of sportbike crashes I've seen in the first 3-4 corners. Tooo many people not remembering to warm up their tires first......

.....the problem is......it's a 13 mile stretch with an overlook/turn around on one end and a gas station/hang out at the other. You just about always stop at each side for a break.....
