Custom plates.

You can pimp your plates in Australia. I checked out the availability of a couple of plates in my state and these are good to go. I'm going to live off spuds and corn till I've got enough saved up then I'm going to get one. I'm leaning towards the CB919 plate. My bike is black and silver and that is the same combo on the plate. What do you guys think?

If I was to get a custom plate it would be YYY XY.
See if you can figure out what it means.

Rob

If it has already been done, it is safe to assume it is possible to do it.
On the other hand, if it has not been done never assume it is impossible to do it.

I do enough stupid shit when I ride a motorcycle on public roads that I don't need to advertise who I am or make it easy for other commuters to remember.

I try not to do stupid shit on public roads in front of other people, I try......anyway I live and ride on an island where everyone knows me and the bike. That's also why EAT ME won't work either. Rob I still don't have a clue about YYYXY. I have googled it, nothing.

My first thought was something regarding chromosomes but I could be absolutely wrong!

As previously stated I would rather blend in & disappear in the masses than stand out; but FAQ would be a good one. & no, it does not mean frequently asked question, but that is what I would tell the DMV it means.

Yep that makes sense. Three wise men. All those years of Sunday school should have helped me with that.

K1w1boy you are right of couse, CB900. Also known as the 919. Hence my dilemma. I swing between the two. Maybe it should be 900?......Bugger. I had got myself convinced it should be CB919. Thanks.

Here in RI you don't have lots of choices for vanity plates, their stupid restrictions are as follows:

Allowed letter/number combinations for your vanity plate are:
2-5 letters with no numbers
3-4 letters followed by 1 number
3 letters followed by 2 numbers

The best I could come up with so far is NIN19 Or NIN00
Can't do CB900 or CB919

I'm long past the age to worry about who sees me doing what, and I've had a vanity plate on my car for many years, it's never brought me trouble

Common Sense...so rare, it's kind of like a SUPER POWER!

This is a rear shot of my bike. I don't think a black and silver plate would stand out. I only looked at custom plates because a UK member posted some pics of their bike, the plates are huge and yellow. Like a cooler lid. I looked into it where I live in Australia and it could be done. It's also not expensive.
CB 919 if 2-5 letters is allowed would NINER work?
Also this old dog isn't likely to try and pull off random stunts in public.

Those are just the restrictions here in the state of Rhode Island, USA, I'm sure it's different from state to state, and from country to country, territories, etc etc. Just look it up online for your local department of motor vehicles or whatever it's called there. If you want a custom plate, I'd go for it!

Is that a cairn terrier in your avatar photo? Sure looks like one. I have one as well if so.

CB 919, the dog in my avatar is an Australian terrier, also called an aussie. I believe they have a great deal of Cairn terrier in their breeding, including whatever else small and scruffy that got off the boat too. Cheers mate.

CB919 from RI, as a lifetime Deadhead, but not a fan of the Bruins, I am so torn by your image. All I can do is think happy thoughts of Bobby Orr to try and make this incredibly conflicting Bruins your face be ok.

We can't have vanity plates in Indiana because a policeman had O1NK. Some little snowflake got butt hurt. Filed a lawsuit, so they could spread their misery. No more fun.

My truck plate, for years, was AR 10.

Remember, like 12 years ago when the bullet hole stickers were popular? I very carefully put 2, .45 bullet holes thru the plate of my 929. It got noticed a few times, once by an LEO. It was good for a chuckle.
