Bar Ends, rhinomoto bar-ends, CRG lane-splitting mirrors

So....I've been comtemplating putting some CRG nice lane splitter mirrors on my 919.
Ironic considering I just bought a few months back a brand new set of aftermarket "nice" mirror replacement to the stock mirrors (which may be up for sale if I decide to go the bar-end route).
Anyhow.....I'm curious of the following:
1. my left side handlebar's bar-end somewhat "rotates" within the handlebar tube.
2. I've tightened as much as I can the phillips threaded rod that anchors the the stock weighted bar-end in place, yet the internals of the what is inside the left handlebar seems to somewhat rotate around a bit.

So...my question is...what is inside that tube that allows for this rotation? which I'm assuming should not be a normal thing.
and also, I was looking into the CRG lane splitter mirrors in addition to the 'rhinomoto' weighted bar-end adaptors but....if my entire mechanism within the handlebar internals hollow tube is somewhat rotating around...then I first have to figure out "what" is allowing this rotation to occur before I invest in any bar-end mirror mod.

FWIW my left bar end (stock) also will not tighten, will spin. The right side tightens up. I'm pretty sure tightening the end Philips bolt squeezes a rubber block which grabs the inside of the handlebar tube. I might be wrong.

Same - my stock left bar end rotates without tightening, and the right does not rotate (is already tightened it seems). With the miles and condition I got the bike in, I assume the PO did not fiddle with them.

Yep. I'm also 99% sure my bike was stock when I got it. Low miles, not dropped. Figured it just came like that. Like the way the right hand rearset sticks out further than the left, when looking from the rear.

huh.....thought I was the only one with a loosey-goosey left bar-end rotational issue.
Seems it's more common than I thought.
I was told I can remove the bar-end weight, put back in the long screw, then use a pair of vice grips to pull whatever is inside that hollow left tube out and see what the issue is.
I'm assuming that what has happened is that that rubber expandable internal piece has simply worn and is smaller in diameter than what it was originally.
Shame though. I'd like to install the lane-splitter mirror but not at the risk of them being 'loose' due to the internals on the left handlebar. So......I'll need to look into that first before I spend any "pesos" on the CRGs or the rhinomoto bar ends.

When i had the lanesplitter bars on my bike I just clamped them on the little extra nub of bar past my grips. (renthal bars)
