husaberg has (or had) been around for a long time. didn't they merge with/own/were owned by Husqvarna?

I believe you are right about some type of affiliation with Husqvarna. They are, from what I have read, a premier bike builder. if that makes any sense. Like AMG to Mercedes.

When Husky was purchased by Cagiva back in the 80's the engineers who didn't want to go to Italy stayed in Sweden and started Husaberg.
