A thanks to WT....

Just wanted to shoot a thanks out to WT and the members here.

I wanted some gold calipers and I was willing to exchange mine (black) for em, buy em or at least pay the shipping. Two seperate WT'ers sent me PMs and I got a rear caliper from one member (jscott) and a set of fronts from another member (efitzgerald) neither one wanted an exchange for mine or me to buy theirs or for that matter me to even pay shipping, right on guys thanks!

I've had good dealings with other members, mrhonda1987 and Djmell762 to name a couple theres more I'm just blanking. Countless good ideas have been used on my bike from this site, 900rr header, steering stabilizer, gearing ratio, levers, bars, SS lines the list goes on but you get the idea. I dig it when I can lend a hand with some advice, or even just crack a joke. There really is a wealth of knowledgable people here and I just wanted to issue a blanket thanks to WT and members.

Feel free to share a cool WT story or idea for a mod, or even a new friend.

Thanks guys this site is a good one... my bike wouldn't be the same with out it, for real!

-Brian

I'll second that. I've had a guitar tuner sent to me completely free of charge for my youngest son by a member here. I'll try and pass on the good karma with some help to another fellow member Saturday. With all you hear thru different media outlets nowadays it's good to know there are some good people surrounding the motorcycle community.

That's really great, Brian. Very generous of the fellas. I have gained a lot of bike knowledge here. Been able to do all the maintenance and mods on my bike through reading this site.

The one thing I thought I never would attempt is valve clearances, but BassPiece rode his bike over and we figured it out and did both bikes.

This is a great site.

A lot of funny crap too

Nice post, Brian. I've had the same experience here for a few years now and this is one of the very few sites I've stayed active on, no matter what bike I happen to be riding. It's a nice culture here. Thanks for acknowledging the folks that have helped you out.

Good to hear, and a huge thanks also from me. Im quite new to the site and everyday I look on here I either learn something I didnt know or laugh out loud from a post. Just a all around great forum with a good group of guys (and gals?). Although my check book isnt my friend right now from the damage, but my bike is LOVING IT so far but I just cant wait to keep modding away.

Not to steal the post, But I too am looking for Gold calipers. just an fyi (sorry)

WT is awesome. I've been able to purchase parts at great deals, received help from local members, and have even had the pleasure of providing my services to others here.

Thanks. You guys know who you are.

Ok, I have hornet stickers, a 919 patch, a cool ass brake line holder, a centerstand 10x times better than OEM, wheels for my bike that weren't made for my bike. This place has transformed my bike and the way I think about it. I never changed a thing on any bike I owned till I joined this place.

Hey, you guys owe me $1827.34!!!!

Let me see......- sato rearsets, new forks, extra seat, new rotors, 900rr wheel.....

Thanks again everybody.

Brian......sell the pipe yet? Maybe I can sell some extra pieces and paypal back something......

Brian bought my 2 bros can.....and it didn't work out for him.....

Oh I forgot about the pipe also! LOL, you dont have to feel bad man. We made a deal, it was a little bit of a gamble on my end and I knew it no biggie. You certainly don't owe me anything... thanks though.

The pipe looks great, I still may try to figure out a way to finagle it on there I just HATE HATE HATE the idea of taking a saw to a practicaly new CF pipe when someone out there would love to have it then I can buy a RR pipe that fits. Makes me shutter! But I'm on the fence, my yosh is hurting! I may hack the 2bros down.

100% agree.

Barmatt80 is on my list of 'Good Bastards' (a Kiwi phrase describing a good-bloke - which is a Kiwi phrase describing a good man). I was lucky enough to log on a second or two after he posted up some Yoshis for sale - he was happy to pack and ship to New Zealand and the whole deal was done quickly.

WT is definitely one of the best websites I've ever come across. For the personalities as well as the quality of information. (I'm not one of those personalities 'cause I got nothing worth adding.) I absolutely appreciate the people that put their knowledge online here, for know-nothings like me to learn from. Props to you guys- you know who you are. Thanks to this site, I've made a bunch of improvements to my 9'er. The right way. I've bafflectomized, modified the stock rear fender/license plate holder, installed PAIRS block-off plates, removed the gas recirculation canister (CA smog crap), did the flapper mod, learned to put on the right type of frame sliders, and several other things. This site totally rocks. Thanks WTers!

I've got to completely agree. I've been a member of alot of boards and this one has got to have one of the best group of people that I've got the chance to associate with. Group rides, parts in a jam, good people and conversation. Pretty good stuff all the way around.

That'll work........

+1

ZRXOA and FZ1OA are also FANTASTIC boards and people. The FZ boards has a "Pay it forward" thread thats works great. I tried it awhile back and it did not take off.

Common interest(motorcycles), common ground(919), and good people to deal with whether it be for information or parts.

Almost three years for me now.

Simply the best!
