A blast from the past...

Stumbled across this old site yesterday; brings back memories. I remember when Speedy was doing these mods & adding them to the site as new circa 2002-2003. The good ol days for sure. A Lot of turnover in the 919 community since then so take a look those of you with your new fangled red 06's & 07s that were still years off in distance .

Interesting how tastes change over time. Today people want things blacked out not shined up. Some of the links are dead but looks like some interesting things.

I noticed that there were no fork upgrades, PCIII, shock, grab bar removal, etc...

Either way, that bike would still look right at home today, and that tells you something.

Edit: I wonder how those tires compare to modern tires... some 15 years of tech, how much better are the tires?

I'm considering the rim polish that is covered in that link's site. Some of us still like shiny, and black.

He didn't seem to detail the dual-headlight mod, did he? Its striking.

Oh the WT Haydays were fun. Even 08-12 for the years I was heavily in the forum were fantastic.

I have to agree!

When I joined in 2009 I had no idea what I was getting myself into ..... and the crazy path that all the bikes/owners/builder were about to lead me down with my 919.

WT in the HayDays was by far the greatest forum I have ever been a part of. Great contributions by members, tons of great parts for sale and ideas and tips/tricks were being shared all over the place.

Good times! And I hope that all the old school crowd is still doing well.

Cheers,
Ian

I'll admit - I was having a ton of fun. Mods, videos, being dorky on the interwebs. Much fun.

My YouTube channel still nets me about $30/month, lol. So I guess it was worth all the time and effort.

It'd be cool to put together the "Ultimate guide to aftermarket mods for 919 to bring it to perfection" book :P

Consolidate all the mod infos for all the different bike areas, front suspension, rear, chains etc etc :P
