I don't know of anyone who has done it, and there have been some fairly ambitious 919 projects described here.

I would love to know that to..............
Beside knowing if the enginge wil plug in - what about all the electrics...
But first of all - do anyone know if the 929/954 will be "plug-and-play" with the 919 frame ?

They will not, partially due to the arrangement of the intake ports on the 929/954.

Was wondering the same thing the other day. If the only problem is the air intake I'm sure this could be arranged to fit.

Think the 929/954 engine is mounted differently too - there are a couple of 'holes' in the casting of the 919 that I thing get tapped out for the 954 mount, around the block off my head not in the front of the engine like the 919.

But I may be wrong - I was once.

Not without a lot of frame modification. The swingarm pivot axle is held by the frame on the 919, but the 929 / 954 holds it in a boss cast into the engine cases. The entire swingarm area of the 919 frame would have to be removed, and Thor only knows how you would attach the remnants of the frame to, uh, something to prevent a serious noodle feeling whenever you sat on the bike, much less rode it. Then, of course, you have the problem of putting the center two throttle bodies somewhere that won't smack right into the backbone. Add to that the necessity of installing the 929 / 954 ECU and harness -- no way to get the 919 ECU or wiring to work even a little!

Other than the foregoing, and probably much much more, it's a snap.

If it has already been done, it is safe to assume it is possible to do it.
On the other hand, if it has not been done never assume it is impossible to do it.
