919 chain size, stock gearing?

I know this has probably been covered ad nauseum, but some sources say 530x108, some say 530x114... what's the real deal?

114 will be way too long...112 may even be too long, but it's usable. Buy a 112 link chain and remove the two links to shorten it. I did this with a DID X-ring chain, and I think the gold color is a nice touch!

Well, fire the engines! Spur this iron space-pony on!

The service manual says 114 links... but it also says 112 with a 525 chain. I'm not sure I understand that... But as long as it goes around both sprockets and lets you adjust the slack to an acceptable level, I'd go with 112 too.
