40,000 miles

I turned over 40,000 miles on my Hornet today. Still, no thought on taking it back for a refund! No problems, complaints, or breakdowns. Still think it was a Wednesday made bike about 10 am. Was putting about 15-16K a year till last year when I bought the KRS. It gets most of the mileage now, but, Lil Red gets enough where I don't fool with a battery charger. Bought NIB in 6/1/07.
My next new bike will be the ST1300.
Oh, if Honda had only put the 996 Super Hawk power in the NT700!

No glitches here at 30,000. Still on the factory battery too. With no tender.

Nice brokerecord!

Thanks to Uncle Sam, I only have about 2 years worth of riding on my 07 equaling about 10,000 miles. Winter doesn't help either.

Good for you, Dickey! I was at 37k a few weeks ago, I should be at 40,000 soon.

I'm excpecting to deploy again sometime next year...I will be very sad to have to put the bike up while I'm gone.

Of course, I should be able to buy a 2nd bike when I get back!

Well, fire the engines! Spur this iron space-pony on!

I hit 50k last week on my 06. Gone through 3 batteries though... 4 sets of tires... 3 sets of plugs.. and 3rd air filter. Waiting to hear my valves make some noise.. haven't had them serviced since 32k. I may just attempt it myself when I take some time off.

With the miles we all racking up, it won't bring a decent trade, so, may as well just keep it and keep on grinning.

50/4 = > 12,000 miles per set of tires .... are you shitting me?

3 sets of plugs -- I bet each time you've pulled them, they've looked fine.

No.

My first set got me to 6k. Second got me to 14k. Third got me to 24k and last set was changed out 1k miles ago.

P.s. last tires were Michelin Pilot road 2ct's, 24k outta the rear tire.

I only changed the plugs myself at 48k, dealer did all before. And yes they were pretty!
