A little while ago I saw three Blackbirds at the Lake, two rode up from West palm and a third not far behind them. Very Strange for me to ever see even one of them around here anymore.
:idunno: I QUIT racing Busa's and ZX's finally, I was having trouble sleeping at nights after making Grown Men Cry in front of their friends. hmy: I'm not mean.
Hmm. The blackbird is not faster ( http://bikepics.plant-tec-municipal.co.uk/biketest.htm ) but does have more legroom which I could sure use. It's a shame they didn't sell more of them, they might be easier to find used.
My current 750 is faster than a Blackbird, Mr. forum trashtalking guy, but that isn't the only reason I shop for specific bikes.
Well............let me tell you something sonny, all them magazines said the 07 zuke and kawi were faster than the RR too and that never happened either. The first production motorcycle that was able to out accelerate ME on my Blackbird was a zx14 and that was just barely pull away at ever so slow a pace. People have got emberassed, humiliated, and angry cause they were talked out of the Blackbird and into the busa and zx by the magazines and shop owners cause they had a whole wall full of accessories for those bikes. Mr. Honda just made the Blackbird for fun then abandoned it a few years later, he don't care.:whistling: If it weren't for Mr. Honda suzuki and kawasaki would still be making radio knobs and window cranks for datsuns...............
Stotz was still at the top in points 2007..............poor little ole 1100cc obsolete Honda pickin on them 13&1400 cc Busas and ZX's. Your magazine don't say nothing about that does it?..........:whistling: .............kidz
It probably has more to do with the rider than the bike. The guys on the BUSA's and ZX14's were probably squids or old farts with no desire to race you.
Yea...... Phil Stoll, Mike Slowe, Barry Henson is probably Squid's and Old fart's too. Anyone that thinks a Blackbird can't hang with the best of them needs to take up knitting or softball cause you know NOTHING about racing motorcycles............... find another topic better suited for you.
which is completely relevant to street bike riding......
You're one of those guys who argues with his friends about whether Ford or Chevy is the better truck aren't you?
hmy: I never argue. Blackbirds is just better thats all.
If you ever come up on a 160lb person riding an XX with a full exhaust system be prepared to be surprised cause Hondas don't need all those CC's, MegaPower, Dual George Foreman Grills, and magazines to tell you how fast they are to go the same speed.
I've ridden an XX and a ZX11. Both had good power. I'd race your ass on my 10R and I weigh 230. I only know one thing for sure. My 30,000 mile 10R does 96 in first gear and that's it's only disadvantage. I think you like your XX a plenty, and that's nice.
And Dave............................in certain situations: much faster: much quicker??????????????????????
c'mon. You sir are yanking my dandy!
Rags, I can get you a few great low mileage XX's '99-'02 at a bargain. I prefer black and the analog gauges. Nothing really changed from '99 on except for the gauge cluster and different injectors. No biggie. Prior to '99 it was carbed.
Hey SilverHair - you know that this is like participating in the Special Olympics and even if you win this discussion you're still retarded, right?
On that note - I concede. You can beat anyone in the world on your 919. Your weight advantage will allow you to totally anhilate anyone on any bike you come across, including Siberia's best.
Just remember this: come November, punch that chad the whole way through alright?

The only way for yall to win is give me some Casino Cash and I'll go away.
