Westward ho....

I know the title will get RC's attention. It's ho, not hoe RC.

The bike is setting in the garage all pretty, luggage loaded, GPS loaded, new tires, chain and sprockets. My buddy is on his way from Atlanta to my house as I type. Forecast for today is 40% chance of thunderstorms and possible hail. I bet that hurts on a motorcycle. Weather is supposed to be good where we are headed tomorrow.

I am at work trying to get some stuff wrapped up, plan on heading home about 2 PM today and get ready to roll. Hopefully Pablo will be at the house when I get there. We are heading out in the morning. Should be a nice trip. I always get a little anxious right about this time.

Pablo has been sent. If you heading through Indiana let me know. I'll be in the midwest this weekend, not heading north.

Stay safe, the weather is looking ugly out in these parts today.

Should be in/thru Indiana tomorrow, the plan is to blast through Indy, up to ChiTown, and hang a left.

I'll have the PSP with me so I'll try and post up something along the way.

Stop and get some pics of Indy! Not hard to get to and a kick ass track with one of the best museums you'll ever get a chance to see.

If you swing anywhere near Bloomington/Normal drop by and say hey! I'm a little over 2 hours south on I55 from Chi-town. There's a nice little Irish bar here and I promise a pint of Guinness.

Good morning from Hot Springs, South Dakota. 1353 miles in two days. Off to Denver this morning if the storms don't kill us.

Went thru the Badlands yesterday and stopped at Mount Rushmore. The Badlands are an interesting ride thru.

Not too shabby. First night was spent in Fairmont, MN. My buddy coundn't go any further (cheap BMW R1200GS).

Buffalo really don't like motorcycles. Nose to headlight with one last night.

Got to go. Rocky Mountain High.

Did you try out the hot springs in Hot Springs to sooth the aches of the road? How about the slots in Deadwood?

I'll be around if you guys need help or anything when you get down this way, except for this evening I have to go to Denver to pick Annie up at the airport. But if the need arises just call.

Houston, we have a problem.

One of my sisters lives in Houston. Her husband died last night. Long story, battled cancer for the last 20 years. He's been in remission twice. Contracted it again about 8 months ago, and they gave him six months to live.

Light drizzle this morning, no big deal. I've got to figure out what I'm going to do. I might route to Houston, and my buddy said he'd jump off around Dallas and head back to Atlanta. It's either that or head home and fly back to Houston. I don't know yet.

RIP Don.

Also, Pablo showed up at the house yesterday.

My condolences.

The ride to Houston sounds like the plan. Have someone send you the clothes and necessities for when you get there.

Don't forget the "Monkey Butt Powder", it really works. I found it cheap in these stores called Rural King out here in Indy.
