Touring Rt 1 - South Hill, VA to FL

I suppose one of us is going to break out a camera at some point.
So i figure I will start a thread to come back and post pictures to.

Nov 16 - RidgeRunner, H_Ryder and myself are confirmed to meet in South Hill, VA. A couple of other have inquired, but not confirmed yet. We are going to ride to JB10s little party with out touching an Interstate. JB10 took 301 up to Eazy's place a while back, so we have chosen to take Rt1 down to Kevin's.

If anyone wants to meet on the way, pm me or RidgeRunner and we can figure out where "you" can meet "us." We are not venturing out of our way since we have soo much ground to cover. Any late joiners will have to be on-time at the destination as I cannot see waiting at any stop when we are trying to log in excess of 14hrs already.

Hope it is fun!

H_Ryder and i made it to the beach. 14 hours on the RC, he is out cold. I am sure I will be asleep soon, but I need to unwind a bit first.

NC is about halfway from FL for us upstate New Yorkers.
He was planning on stopping today in DE at relatives though, so he won't be home til Tuesday.

Good thing the bike will be in the truck the rest of the way...snowed here last night.

Paging James, Mike and Brian:

This is the track from Atlanta to Tampa. Good thing it doesn't show how long I waited in Augusta. You can also see my track back to Atlanta.

This is the elevation at destination. Interesting how it goes down to 4 feet and then back up.

This is the elevation chart for the entire run from Atlanta to Tampa. I think I met up with the group a little under the 200 mile mark.

My max speed on the Atlanta to Tampa trip was 96.5 mph. That was definitely set when I was with you guys. I was cruising to Augusta.

Total miles for the two days riding was 1088.

Printscreen. Paste it into Photoshop then crop it to show just the area you want.
