The dumb things we talk ourselves into at 9pm...(1870 miles)

Well - it is Easter weekend. Simpson and Ridge are little girls, so i am off to ride alone this weekend.

In my quest to find a destination, I thought long and hard about potential destinations. Unsure of where I was going, I new first stop, the Girlfriend's place Tomorrow night.

So, starting point Raleigh for Friday morning. Head where? Dunno.

I want to enjoy the ride. I want to just get away from work and the area....
Hmmm.....

I made a bold statement a while back i was going to ride in a lot of states this year. So... better start knocking them out. This weekend forecast is cold north, so South I am going; Florida south. 5 States in one weekend. Not bad.

Final destination, still undetermined, but I have never had lunch in Miami!

Yep, tons of newer idiots riding on the street, weather really sucks, even though, the weather geniuses tell you it will be sunny all day long and what we get is Rain and Overcast!... boy, talk about the best paid people in the industry.

But, honestly, if you're heading over here, give me a jingle and I'll take you around the hot spots (at least, the ones I know off )

Just keep heading South until you hit Key West. Test out the sand-worthiness of the GS & Tiger.

Mike sounded very ambitious on the phone. The reality is he'll be here around 6:00'ish tomorrow night (maybe later). Riding another 4-5 hours to Miami and back Saturday to then ride all the way home Sunday, that's a very ambitious plan.

I was going to offer you a cold beer and a steak while you passed through St. Pete, but with your schedule I'd have to take it to I-275 and throw it at you while you zing by.

Sorry for taking so long to get back to you guys... I was shaving my ass, and doing an exstensive google search for "meat launchers". For about $56.00 and 3 hours of my valuable time, I can blast him off of the bike with a medium rare 16 oz. New York strip, from 50 paces!

NOW you're talkin! Be sure and have a videographer standing by. Careful though, as when you put a 1200GS and a Tiger side by side at freeway speed, the blowback from the wind is rivaled only by a Chinook helicopter hovering. You may want to be tethered to a sturdy fixed object at least two feet in the ground.

I am in Raleigh. First leg was complete about 7pm. Right now I am negotiating with the girlfriend my departure time. She was cool with the idea until she realized RidgeRunner was not going with me. Now she is a bit upset.

Ligia,
Worry not, for Michael shall travel safely with thoughts of you seeded and flowering through his mind. Well, not thoughts of you seeded. You're not quite there yet. You are practicing safe....

I got off track there a moment. Mike will be fine.

Give her my home & cell numbers Mike, just in case she wants to call and check in.

He'll be fine Ligia. No worries from this end. Mike is very capable, and prepared for such a trip. I wish I could go, but family keeps me at home this weekend.

Mike just left for home.
Did the dealership tour yesterday, saw many cool bikes including a Honda XR400 Motard, yep the one that shouldn't be in this country. I was tempted. Had a great time and enjoyed seeing Mike again.

Everything went well in the superbowl then? Was your pee yellowish from lack of hidration? Was there any corn undigested? Were you making funny noises after each dump?

Wow! After that laundry list, it sounds like you are lucky to be home in one piece. Glad you had a good trip, I think.
