I had probably the best summer of my life this year. It was about a 10,000 mile summer that started early.
On spring break my dad, my best friend and I went to Florida. We took the auto train down there, and stayed in Port Saint Lucy. We went to a couple World Baseball Classic games, explored Florida, watch the shuttle launch and spent a bunch of time on the beach. After spending way to much money and having more fun than should be legal we headed home. About a 1100 mile ride, as we were getting ready to go my dad turned to dan and I and said “You two are sure you want to do this… You know your going to be miserable by Georgia” 900 miles and 13 hours later he took the last exit in North Carolina and pulled into a hotel parking lot complaining about being tired and sore. Dan and I were upset because we wanted to finish the ride and we felt good! Overall it was a very expensive trip, 1 speeding ticket, 1 popped tire, lots of food, train ticket, hotel, baseball tickets, more food, gas but it was the best week of my life. It was awesome to spend a week with Dad especially since I knew I would be leaving in the fall for school. Truly treasured time and money well spent!!
The rest of the summer was spent either working or on the bike riding. Some random pictures from my summer.
Hanging out with the some of the Wristtwister guys, and gal (Hi hope!)
Some adventure! There’s a little road off of 211 with about a ¼ mile “walking path” that ends up with a metal platform that hangs out over the mountain.
Hitting the mountains with some ladies.
Taking some time out and doing a little stunting.
The Summer was well capped today with an amazing ride down Rt. 33 We had no idea what we were getting into or where this road went but it turned out to be the best road I have ever ridden… Bold statement I know… But I think it beats rt. 56, I think it beats sandbanks…We also met some awesome riders at the top of the mountain.
I seriously have an open couch offer to anybody who wants to ride some of the local roads...
View from the top!
What a sweet summer!
