Pablo's Virgin Ride

Okay, we are back home today. Man, this site has had some action since I left.

Trip report:
2740 miles.

States:
Kentucky
Ohio
West Virginia
Penn.
Delaware
Maryland
Virginia
Tennessee
North Carolina
New Jersey

Pablo arrived from RidgeRunner and wanted to check out the route:

The little guy is demanding. Wanted one of the wifey's beers and a dip in the dogs pool.

Up to Mid-Ohio. We checked out the wheelie machine.

And thought about investing in this little Busa quad.

Saw what it looks like to have multiple sets of leathers with fans drying them out and getting rid of the stink. It was HOT.

I left Pablo with Nate and Angie on Saturday night. Sunday morning Nate and I happened to be right at pit entrance when Nicky came up from his bros pit tent. Nate got his autograph, AND HAD PABLO IN THE POCKET OF HIS BACKPACK, but didn't whip him out for this photo. Nate is in the yellow shirt.

Me, Angie, Pablo and Nate.

Pablo says Hi to the start of the superbike race. Sporty wimped out and didn't make it to the track. Bad Sporty.

We tasted a little Mexican to make him feel at home.

He traveled by day in the map case on my luggage. Since it was on the right side of the bike kids travelling would wave at him when I passed. There are a few pics people in cages took of Pablo that may surface somewhere.

Find Pablo at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh.

Find Pablo in Gettysburgh.

Pablo at the Liberty Bell. Can you tell I had been partying the night before?

Pablo got his own bed when we got a suite one night.

The Blue Ridge Parkway somewhere in Virginia.

He even got to meet Senator George Allen at a restaurant. No pics, the Senator was hurrying into a backroom for a speech.

My travelling buddy. We've been doing an annual bike trip together for 20 years running.

After a lot of miles and some good times it was time to cut out a little early due to some personal issues my buddy had going on. His dad's health isn't real good and he needed to get to him. His dad lives in Kentucky, so I had a travel partner home instead of going it solo the last day like I usually do since my buddy lives in Atlanta.

When Pablo and I got home, well............. I neglected Pablo for awhile.

Okay, who's next? I can probably get him shipped out Tuesday or Wednesday.

He looks like he's happy in your red lace...

I think the Gettysburg picture is hilarious. Little ol Pablo is a dot there... still smiling though.

I can't wait until I have an event to take him to.

P.S. What's with the owners manual riding along with ya?

Pablo wanted something to read.

Actually it's a habit. I've always taken the owners manual with me on the road and never broke down.

Nate got Nicky's autograph? Holy WTF?! How did I not hear about this?!

NATE... at least post a picture of it for me to look at!

Pablo looks like he is smiling a little more on the last picture than any of the other ones! Is it me? Or do you guys see it too?

We have a few things signed by Nicky (and other racers as well). Our goal is to have every issue of RRX signed by the person on the cover. We are down to the GP guys and since Nicky was at Mid-Ohio I think the only ones we have left are Hopper and Rossi.

Yep. For some reason when they started RRX I decided to get them signed. I only have the 2 Rossi and Hoope left. Well...actually Hacking but I will get that this weekend. AMA guys are actually easy to catch.

Not so much that I am a autograph hound as more of a cool thing to do and decorate our (future) basement with.

If I recall we have Nicky's on 2 RRX, a ticket stub, a poster and perhaps something else. Got Edwards at the GP also last year.

Jim....

Great meeting you and Emanuel. Can't beleive all the places you guys went. I am guessing he will not make VIR with a sick family member. Hope all turns out well.

Hope to see you again soon. Plus I get to see Pablo again already. He may get to do some fishing??

Hey, great to meet you, Angelia, and Chris as well. Give my best to Pablo and have fun at VIR. BTW, Emanuel's dad is much better I hear. Thanks for caring.
