Help: Laconia Advice

Hello All,
I'll be attending the Laconia bike rally in June. I'm not big on rallies but it gives me a chance to ride with my brother from New York and nail the Vermont mountain twisties. My heart yearns to take the Speed Triple and blow the stripes off the country roads. The another part of me says take the 919 and make an adventure from VA to New Hampshire as it's comfortable for long trips with the corbin seat and Givi topcase for creature comforts.

Rally Site

I've been pining over how and what to ride. Here my options.

1.) Take S3 in truck and ride from New York.
2.) Take 919 the entire distance
3.) Take S3 entire distance for a iron man tour with just a backpack

What about your brother's riding style, abilities, and bike? Does that factor in to the equation here?

Judging by the site is that like a mini Sturgis?

Screw that. It takes all the adventure and pleasure of owning a motorcycle. Ride it Simpson.
Spoiler:
after you buy a windscreen. I heard the mosquitos are bad up there that time of year.

I rode an RC from V.B. to Tampa & back... mainly straight roads.
V.B. to Laconia & twisties... I'm thinking a no-brainer!!!

Ridge you are right! It reminds me of all the fun I had riding my CBR to Alaska and back with compression net/straps holding travel bags to the seat. +1 on the windscreen.

when? If you are talking about his butt burner to Tampa, I was detained by family issues. No chance for my attendance on that one.

Everyone must do a 5,000 mile solo tour on a sport bike! I've done many. It develops character. Don't forget new tires, repair manual and extra fuses for debug.

Long trips are bliss!

Videocamera?! Simpson's not taking the kids to Disneyland!
On my AK trip I decided not to carry a camera and be a slave to it...
Now I have an excuse to go back and take pictures!
