Grom First Ride Review

So 5 of my friends have purchased Groms and looks like two more will own them as well! I was able to spend a day riding one and absolutely loved it! If you're having a bad day jumping on a Grom is a surefire remedy. Smiling ear to ear the entire time!

Pros: The Grom is a great bike to learn on or hooligan with! Wheelies just fine and stoppies on a dime. Fuel injected with a cool digital speedo. Perfect fun around towner bike.

Cons: Mostly limited to back roads and around town. Needs more power and stiffer springs. To get the bike above 65 you have to full tuck draft behind your friend. We managed to get it up to 73 while holding on to the lip of the 919 seat. (Don't do this)

Conclusion: One of the best times on two wheels! Turns more heads than the sport bikes and doesn't attract the too many cops. At $3k this is the only bike I would consider buying new.

Some days you just want to ride a pony.

Great review wolf. Glad to hear they are such a blast. Maybe I can convince the wife to let me get "her" one.

Let us know how you make out with that plan. I'd like to get one for my wife too And I'll bet that if I agree to maintain it, she'd let me ride it any time I'd want.

How do you like the grom now that you've had it a few months?

I want to get one for the sole purpose of doing the crf450x motor swap...
