It was a gorgeous Fall day with a cool departure in the morning, but warming nicely during the course of the day. It was going to be a short romp by our normal standards, but the four of us were up to getting home early. We met at the Pilot Station and did a quick run over to the Belvidere Diner on Route 46 for some am vittles. The food was delicious and inexpensive to boot.

From there we crossed the Delaware River and ran the "Carousel" and the Orchard Road slalom down to 5 Points. We did the Lake Minsi loop up to Pa 191 and crossed the Appalachian Trail. A slight detour onto Cherry Valley Road dropped us over to Pa 611 where we were able to enjoy some scenery through the Delaware Water Gap. Heading South, we circled back to enjoy to Riverton Road in reverse with Sckill in the lead wringing out the Tenere through the twisties.

Back over to the Garden State to enjoy a swift trip up Lomasens Glen and a strafing of Fox Farm Road past Merrill Creek Reservoir. A short haul through Stewartsville put us behind a couple of Hogs on NJ 173 who were moving at a good clip enjoying the scenery on Asbury Bloomsbury Road. We traveled over to Hampton Boro, through Glen Gardner, and down to Bunnvale to grab CR 513/512 avoiding the Califon Street Fair. At this time we were getting a bit hungry so we hung a right onto CR 517 at the Fairmont light in Tewksbury with the Oldwick General Store in mind for lunch.

This establishment is a popular spot most days for riders of the iron horse and the equestrian variety, but we were fortunate enough to grab a table and order a hot lunch. There is a specific protocol when ordering as there is a cold line and grill line. You pay when finished on the honor system. The store has been in operation since 1750 and is a counter-serve deli & market offering sandwiches, burgers & baked goods.

We spent a good hour in residence there where we rehashed the day and discussed the potential for an overnight trip during the Summer of 2020. After lunch, it was a quick drop off to Interstate 78. My mileage was a short 131 miles for the day. We will try and get one more ride in before the snow flies. Congratulations to rwb79 who has joined the 919 ranks with a low mileage '03 that he picked up in Rochester, NY over the Summer.

Thanks to all for coming out.
