Went for a ride today on a road that was recommended by a co-worker.
Breitenbush Rd. runs from Detroit, Oregon to Estacada.
Started in Salem, came back through Woodburn.
About 170 mile loop.
Entering Mt Hood National Forest
Saw a little unmarked bridge crossing the river I'd been riding along. Decided to cross, and see where it went.
After about 2 1/2 mile it turned to gravel and I decided I didn't care where it went that much. It's about the ride, not the destination...right?
Couple of pics on the 2 1/2 mile road to nowhere:
Caught a glimpse of what looked like a nice spot of water.
One of several small steel frame bridges
Pulled off more places than I took pictures. Didn't find a spot I didn't like at any time.
Didn't want to come back home.
Highly recommend the ride if you are in the area.
