Boston To Vancouver and Back: 8000 miles

I'll be making some last minute checks and then I'm off to Vancouver, BC. I don't know what the trip has in store for me, but I'm sure I'll find out. Mapquest says that the round trip should run about 7600 miles, but I plan on doing some additional touring off of my proposed route so I imagine that the total mileage will be closer to 8,000 miles. I have included a map of my proposed route on my Blog (Days of High Adventure). If I have time, I'll try and post some pics on this thread.

Sounds Great! You'll love riding through the west. Just a couple suggestion of my favorite sights. Make sure you hit the badlands and black hills/Rushmore in SD and Devils Tower. The 101 down the coast in Washington is breathtaking and Vancouver is a blast! One of my favorite cities for sure. If you have a bedroll (And it's not raining) pull over sleep on the beach under the stars. The Pacific up there is nothing like the Atlantic and I can guarantee you you'll never slept like that again.

If your going the budget route and need a place to crash we have a spare bedroom in STL on the way back.

Two wheelin for the feelin.

Igneale,

Thanks so much for the kind offer for the bed and thanks for the tip on attractions in SD. I have now added the Badlands to my list of destination sites. There is so much to see, I know I'll never be able to see it all in one trip. I am really looking forward to seeing the Pacific coast as I have heard great things about the Washington shoreline.

Time to kick the tires and light the fires!
