it would be fun to surprise my daughter Friday night where she works in Brewton AL. So 8pm I left out of Inverness Fl to go to Quitman GA and see a friend. The rain started by ocala about 20 mins up the road
It got dark early and either drizzled or rained hard the whole way over.
The one thing I didn't worry about was the 919, it was rock solid in the rain. I was able to run 65/70 most of the way and other than wet hands really enjoyed the ride.
So Saturday about 2pm headed back to Quitman. Just drizzly weather, running 65/70 wearing a rain suit I was getting around 37mpg. About 150 to low fuel light was perfect for me to get a 10 minute break I was having fun..
Finally got to see my shadow.
Tourmaster overboots, defender 2 piece rainsuit , drymesh gloves.
The gloves stayed dry for a good two hours in pouring rain but then gave up, even wet they were comfortable and warm. The rest worked, even up to 90mph kept me dry.
The Arai XD is good up to 80 in clean air but is it little noisy so ear plugs are necessary. It is the perfect Florida helmet airy, cool and the peak is great in the sun.
