4762 miles to Virginia Beach

I guess it was not official till I get the ride report done. So .......

4762 miles, give or take a few miles for the trip to the Can-Am dealer in VB - where the moron reset my trip odometer!!
125$ Speeding Ticket in Indiana
220$ in Gas
270$ in Hotels
320$ in Food, Drink and snacks
380$ new rear tire and check up
Memories of 11 days away from work riding across country to VB on Motorcycles to have a BBQ with new friends and a day riding with skilled riders - keeping up with them on a Spyder that I am sure a few people had some daughts about.

Priceless......

My favorite part was the ride on Sunday. One pretty big foul on a curve, but I even impressed myself in keeping up so well that day – at least till I found out that we were not running top speed for some. LOL. The adrenaline rush was still just as good as skydiving for the first time.

Only one regret was not getting out the camera more. So many times I was thinking at is so beautiful as we would look over the side of a bridge to see the sunset reflecting on the water, and the officer who was kind of cute... I should have gotten a photo to post! LOL

Oh and next time more back roads instead of interstate the whole way out and back. It was a great trip! Lots of laughs! Interesting little café’s, A fun time at the zoo seeing *cough* Monkeys!

The video: even though I already posted it on the other thread:

Here is the final route, I think I got in all the little side roads.

from:Firestone Co to:CO-14/County Rd-90 to:CO-71/County Hwy-155/County Rd-155 to:CO-14/County Rd-26 to:CO-14/County Rd-26 to:CO-14/County Rd-26 to:S 13th St to:NE-133 to:I-29 S to:Omaha Ne to:I-435 S to:I-170 S to:Exit 7A to:Virginia Beach VA to:Wins

We had a blast for sure Hope. I was quite impressed with the skills on the Spyder.

I remember when we first jumped off the highway Sunday and we left the Hess station. I was thinking when I was behind you...Hmmmmmmmmmmmm, I wonder how she is gonna do when we start to have fun...I was impressed.

Glad you had fun and that the trip was worth it.
Funny how I am considered a hooligan (thanks for calling me out on the other thread McCrimmon) and fatherly by the same group.... (Stern Look and finger pointing?)

Go figure.

BTW... The pace was good for a Sunday Ride - No need to go much faster. I am most happy everyone found 'Their Pace' and rode with in their limits.

Hope, Just watched your PP video. It was excellent! Nice to see everyone having a good time. It seemed you didn't have much luggage, does the Syder have storage on it? Thanks for sharing!

The front Area is a trunk. You give you a good Idea of how big it is, you can fit two full helmets in it and stuff things it around it or you can fit my suit case, snacks, extra oil, and jackets.

Thanks!

What are the guidelines for calling it an WT event? Does it have to be so many people? Pacific place? have to anounce it before had? Have to be a full weekend? How do we set one up for the people out here in CO and surounding areas? We go on rides on occasion, but those are not called events - so how do we fix that?

Don't working only thinking for when it gets warmer again. This snow is putting a damper on the riding for a few days.

Hope, a ride is a ride.
Dinner is dinner.
But when something is planned out to be a weekend event and all are welcome... then we start getting to 'event' status. Four or five of us get together and ride then catch dinner... not an event. It is friends hanging out.

People traveling from different states to meet up and spend a weekend together.... completely different.
