Safety Tips on the Road (funny & true)

Ever learn certain things to look out for that wern't "in the book"? Such as:
Here in N.Y. , beware of New Jersy Plates. If you have ever experienced a "Jersy Slide" you know what i mean!! ( Passes you hard on the left, throws out the anchor as he cuts hard right 3 lanes to make the off-ramp ).
Also look out for drivers with BLUE hair. Especially if they are pulling out of the eye doctors parking lot.
Beware of college stickers in the back window..especially if they are not on straight.
AAA stickers are another sign of spontainous / impending stupidity.
Keep it going.........M

Never pick a fight with an old man..if he's too tired to fight, he'll just shoot you.

People on cell phones, of course
People shaving or putting on make-up--WTH?? Get up 5 minutes sooner.
Rusted out vehicles filled with more people than there are seats.
Drunken Vikings on bicycles are always dangerous

And of course you always need to watch out for animals

Cautiously approach any vehicle that you cannot easily identify if there is actually a driver behind the wheel. Typically this will include little old ladies that will peer through the hole in the steering wheel and all you can see are their little knuckles gripping the steering wheel. May also serve for some teens that have not hit their growth spurt in puberty yet.

In PA watch for any plate from NY or NJ, blinkers are obviously optional from the factory and don't follow to closely because you'll inevitably eat the bumper of some moron who slams on the brakes "Oh look honey, trees!"

In AZ, if it's a four door Mercury, Ford, or Lincoln and it's winter, DO NOT, under ANY circumstances approach the vehicle from any angle. Hold back and hope it goes away.

I find this a riot, because the only accident and close call I've ever been in, was in PA, with PA drivers.

One old guy had ducttape for a left blinker, and was doing way under the speed limit for 5 miles before he veered to the right near a driveway and slowed down, and as I'm finally like thank god and start to pass him, he whips left down a road.

And some asshat on a cellphone, driving a manual (weee super fast downhill, omg can we make it uphill) decided to brake check me on one of those uphill portions. And i scratched the paint on his shiny new focus.

anyways, I thought it was hilarious you described both my incidents... lol.

Watch out for...
- old men driving nice trucks pulling small trailers (farmers)
- Hummer pulling boats
- people with too many bumper stickers...period (handy mobile rear bumper library)
- harley guys who think they go fast while you just cruise along...they pass you in your own lane then swerve and stop at the next light (yep...the light that's been red the whole time)
- truckers who look sleepy

Press Any Key To Continue.

Watch out for scooters too, they are hard to see and never going as fast as everyone else. Especially watch out for scooters ridden by these guys.
