Neck brace for race track?

Does anyone wear neck braces on road tracks. I purchased the EVS, thinking it would be good safety equipment, but can't figger this thang out Do I even need this contraption?

The neck of the leathers is too small for the brace. Should I put the rear spine protector under the leathers and the front over, or send it back for a refund. Apparently these things are for the dirt guys.

Yeah, those are aimed at the MX market - Im not even sure if it would be a good idea for a road race type application, seeing as how you need to move you head a bit more , looking through corners and tucking in and the like -
