I acknowledge that I did not commit. I should have gone over the bars and absorbed the impact of the tree with my collarbone. I'll practice at home with a door jamb.

On a sad note, Tail of the Dragon says the rider who went off the cliff last week did not make it.

Wait....you normally 2-hand wipe your ass??

Updates:

The bike - It has been in the shop for about a month while insurance and the garage make a total clusterf#ck out of the whole situation. I estimated about 2-2.5k in parts with only a few hours labor, which of course ballooned to 3k+ plus from insurance, and then got turned into 4k plus by the garage. The last time I saw the bike I rejected it because they didn't do some of the work even though they charged for it. They also expected me to ride it home with a bone dry chain. I have asked them to remove the broken Sato engine sliders so my guess is that they will return the bike with no engine mounts. I won't name the shop yet... but I will once the bike is out. Hint: it's in Veaudreuil, west of Mtl.

I should have arranged to do the work myself. I had not claimed anything on insurance in 15 years and did not explore all my options. Live and learn.

The rider - Mostly healed. The only thing left is my right hand which I figure I fractured because it still hurts at the gym or when I shake hands with the overzealous.

I have signed up for a track class this month... looking forward to it.

The upshot of all this is that my friends are shopping for gear.

Next update will be to rip the aforementioned garage a new a$$ and make sure no one ever goes there again.
