It was at this moment, she knew she fked up.

Why is it so hard for people of all modes of transportation to obey simple traffic rules and use logic? I am all for respecting everyone's rights to travel, on foot, in a car, bicycle, or motorcycle... But I have no sympathy when I see people suing because they pedaled through a red light at a busy intersection and got punted because they couldn't look or stop.

After now having commuted to work in SF for a few weeks (which Im going to stop doing), I will say (regardless of the fault above) the scooter riders in SF are incredibly wreckless probably due to the fact they arent cycle riders in the first place and that the scooters feel like an overgrown skateboard to them. They give lane sharing a bad name and are constantly riding down bike lanes and the edge of the sidewalk asking for trouble. Its not going to end well for them the way they drive.

Natural selection at it's finest... maybe she'll learn to look before she crosses...legally or illegally.
That's why jaywalking shouldn't even be a thing... Nany-ing by the government removes natural selection.

She probably wouldn't last long in Paris that's for sure.

He wants to stop riding because he can't stop thinking about the crash? Sheesh.

I ride motorcycles and I run everyday. I run through intersections with green lights quite often, as I hate stopping in the middle of a run. You have to be very diligent checking in all directions before you cross, and if something happens, well you assume the risk when you do that.

I recently got "pulled over" for running through an intersection. The cop rolled up next to me and told me that he didn't want to be scraping me up off the street.

The only crimes committed here, was the runners lack of awareness, and that dude is riding a scooter.
