Sadly, when they don't take the ultimate nap and end up "living", be it on life support, with limited mental capacity, etc. We, society, as a whole must support them ... either through government SSI and health insurance!

It's better to have loved and lost than live with the psycho for life!

nope, it should be written into the law that if you become a vegetable when you crash not wearing a helmet, the plug should be pulled. especially if you have no or insufficient health insurance
