Pics from todays ride 7-1-10

A little backstory to this ride. I bought my 919 in sept 09 and have been riding it in the local Santa Monica mtns and surrounding canyons and twisty fun places close to my home in ventura county. I am also an avid skier and ski at a local resort in the angeles crest mtns called Mt high, and well since i got my 919 it was a goal of mine to ride HWY 2 all the way to mt high / wrightwood area. So my buddie calls me the other day and says "hey... the local mtns are gettin kinda boring, lets do something different... wanna do the 2?" so with some help from mantelhonda to figure out what roads were open me and my buddy set off today... and boy was i pleasently surprised.

95% of the twistys were perfect no debris and awesome pavement... and a great change of pace compared to the SUPER tight twisties of the santa monica mtns.

Heres the route we took... ~235mi total... god my ass and neck are sore.

Anyways... heres the pics.

Mt waterman... i learned how to ski here as a kid some 10 yrs ago, stoppin here brought back some good memories!

Lookin out to the ocean from pretty much the top of the 2.

And finally our destination... Mt High... skied i think 22 days there this season

awesome, looks like you had fun, you should also try "Little Tujunga" canyon, and if you go to the forestry look out point you'll have some amazing views of the city. this is a ride I like to go in spring when the flowers are in bloom, but it is still a nice ride especially in the Frazier Park and Los Padres national forest

point C is as far as you can go on that road before you need knobbies, but the views are great.
