My Daytona 08

Good times. In short- Race was good. My wife and I just cruised around the pits and met with friends. Went to tech before we knew Josh was out. Said hi to the Honda girls. Greg White is hard at work. ( Greg may log on and say hello ) Talked with Mr. R Sands about his creations. Mat and Ben were on top! Melissa Paris looks great. Overall, good time. I sent a few pix to Rags to help me post. Just a few. Enjoy!

Glad to share.(I had help posting photos). I'm trying to still like Bike Week. I try to distance myself from the madness though. It's fun to watch people. It's interesting to me to see other peoples ideas of bikes and what the future holds for this industry as a whole. I'm certain the local economy depends on Bike Week type events for $. The locals want the bikers to spend their hard earned coin and keep them coming back. Truth be told, why should we? Why pay 3 times more for a hotel(flea bag), booze, food ect. just to be treated like crap. I'm not sure if the weather or the economy or the fact that Bike week is so spread out now played a role, however there were fewer people overall then past years I've been. Regardless how I feel, I'll go back. I like bikes.

I've never been to any of the biker events, but heard they really stick it to you by jacking up the prices of everything within miles. Do they actually treat you like crap at the same time? That sucks!

Hotels- Double the cost w/ sometimes 5 night min.

Water- $4-$6.00 for a bottle

Hot dog- $5.00

Race tix w/ parking-$100.00

Buying a $7.00 can of beer from a 25 year old lady that looks 75 y/o wearing only a thong and elec. tape over her nips- Priceless

That's pretty rough! Why couldn't they get the Honda girls or the Pirelli girls to sell you beers?? No need for a thong and electrical tape... although it would definitely boost beer sales!
