Thanks Jay,

Meant to ask you, how do you guys determine if someone is ready to move up to L2?

Is it based on lap times or overall skill level?

Might have to get a faster track bike.

Looks like you're having the same problem down the front straight.

Mike,

To me you are ready to bump up!

When you keep a steady/smooth line and your consistent, your ready to bump up to level 2. To bump up to level 3, I would suggest keeping a higher corner speed.

coming down the front straight, has always been a concern on my 919, but I could easily hold my own in the corners... I would brake later and carry higher corner speed then many!

I did get another bike after my skill level was exceeding my bikes capability...
3 years of track riding on the 919!

I feel ready, but having a liter bike blast by you down the straight and through turn 2 even, doesn't do much for your confidence level.

I've been trying to put some saddle time on the Tuono, which IMHO should help lower my laptimes. The frame and suspension have much more potential and it probably has 40% more horsepower.

Also, I'm thinking of doing the California Superbike School at the Streets on Sept. 20th. Can't wait.

Thanks again for the help
Mike
